"Cameron Fry, this one's for you...."

(photo of Lambert Girls + Kiah minus Michelle) :)

Lambert Family Quoting: A way of communicating a thought or an idea by reciting a line from a movie, song, SNL skit, or a direct quote from another sibling.

When I get together with my family, "Quoting" happens A LOT!! Marshall says he cannot stand to be around me when I get with my sisters because we all stand around the kitchen bar and become CRAZY quoting fools!! Marshall says it is like we are speaking an entirely different language. He has not seen--or rather memorized, nearly as many movies as my sisters and I have so he cannot follow the conversation. Don't hate my wonderful husband, just appreciate!!!

Here are some of our favorites--we at least my favorites!!

"I am going to run away to Australia on my broom with Allen Hadlock!" --Jackie at age 4

"Miss Dorothy, Po Hee" --Thoroughly Modern Millie

"I have got to get things solidified in my life"--Working Girl

"Ray, if somebody asks you if you are a god, you say, "YES!!"--Ghostbusters

"OK, but that 's just what the nerds want you to do"--Signs

"Hello...Roses. Rose is Me!!"--Big Business

"I earn privileges"--D. Dave Lambert

"RASPBERRIES!!"--Thoroughly Modern Millie

"Matt's gonna to lose dessert, Matt's gonna lose dessert..."--Michelle and Kristen

"You know, when you get to be my age, there are more important things than, BOYS!"--Meet me in ST. Louis

"What fer, there's only three little ones"--Seven Brides for Seven Brothers

"I have been ready since first call, ROLL!!!"--Pee Wee

"To make a triumphant video we need Eddy VanHalen...
But we can't get Eddy VanHalen unless we have a triumphant video...
Excellent!"--
Bill and Ted

"As they say in Corsica,...Goodbye."

and now back at the Ranch...

This year for Halloween Eli was a horse. He hated the hood, so we captured a few photos while his good mood and the hood lasted. Best horse EVER!!

To Enfinity and Beyond...

This years Halloween costume was a hit. Thanks to Grandma Karen for her research and love!! He had so much fun and the ward Trunk or Treat and Trick or Treating this year. We even put the name ""Andy" on the bottom of his shoe so that everyone would know that he is the real "Buzz Lightyear!"

Cohen is 3 Years Old...

Cohen was so happy to turn 3. We started the day out with his favorite breakfast--Pop Tarts!! Next, we went to "All About Kids" and let him run around the gym. After, he got to watch Disney's Cars instead of taking a nap. Then at the stores he got everything he wanted at the checkout counter at Rite Aid and Wal-mart (Things I always say "no" to).
We ate Pizza and Lightening McQueen cake and did presents at the house.
He got lots of toys featuring Toy Story, and Cars

Barn Photos...

Me and the boys were on our way to Walmart--taking the back roads behind our house and we found this AWESOME old barn. I immediately stopped and took some photos of Cohen and baby "E" as well.

It turns out that Cohen is quite the poser!! ...and Eli just wants to eat the grass and cry!!

Idaho Wedding Reception...

After the family reunion, We were off to plan and prepare for the Idaho Reception to honor Cody and Brittany getting married.

Avery, Lynda and I had sooooo much fun going crazy with orange decorations, and flowers for the reception. Here are some photos of the decorations:

Here is are photos of the Entrance to the BYU Idaho Gardens. We used orange paper lanterns and sheer green ribbon.

Here are the white Orchid centerpieces we used along with white and orange tablecloths. Also, on the table were photo blocks featuring the happy couple in various stages of their lives.

Here is the retaining wall decorated with sheer orange organza material and photos.

It was so much fun for me to plan and decorate the reception. I was so lucky to have Jeff and Lynda's money!! (Ha, ha, ha, Jeff!!) and Lynda's and Avery's creativity to help me along. It kept me busy and motivated while planning this event. Thanks to Marshall and my sweet babies for being patient with me while I obsessed over the details.

Summer Vacation--The Idaho Edition...

We had such a great time in Idaho visiting with Marshall's Family. We all loved the Jeff and Lynda Hawkes Ranch. Cohen we thrilled with the farm animals and the freedom to run. Here are some photos of his first horse ride.

Cohen had so much fun on the new trampoline that Lynda bought for the kids. They put a sprinkler under the trap and get soaking wet. They started this routine first thing in the morning almost every day.
Cohen and I were able to go four wheeling near Green Canyon. Cohen had so much fun!!

Cohen and Eli chillin' on the bed

Our Summer Vaction--The Friday the 13th Flight...

Our summer vacation to Idaho started on Friday, June 13Th and it was a "Freaky Friday!" I'll Skip all the boring stuff and give the cliff notes of the flight.

First, I forgot my drivers license in the car after Sherstine dropped is off at 5 am! She did not have her phone on her, so we were working on a time crunch. We called and awoke her husband Wayne with strict instructions on Sherstine's speedy return to the airport. She is such a great friend, and broke several traffic laws--and arrived with my license only 2 minutes before the "checked bag deadline!!"

The second disaster started on the first leg of our flight. Both kiddos had wardrobe malfunctions. In our hast to make our 7am flight we forgot to change Cohen's diaper (Yes, he is still in diapers--my head is hanging in shame. I digress...) and his pants were soaked through. About the same time we made this discovery Eli had a rumble down under and had a "blow out"--err up--whatever! I forgot to plan for the worst and did not have any extra clothes. So we walked off the plane with two kids in only diapers. Can you say, "Ghetto Fabulous!!"

I ran frantically around the DFW airport trying to find a onesie and pants for Cohen. No such luck on pants for the Co-daddy, and he wore dried "pee pee pants!" Poor Cohen. Eli did not have pants either, but I did find a 12 month t-shirt for his top.

The third problem was our time crunch. After arriving in Utah, we needed to hurry to Idaho in time to make the endowment session and for Cody's fiance, Brittany. We did our best and arrived only 15 minutes before the session started. With little time to plan a babysitter only Marshall was able to attend. Oh well, at least he made it!

Time for the Results...

Many thanks to all who have justified my argument that my two boys look alike. Many have also said that they do not look as much alike as I think. To those who disagree I say PHOOEY!! Their facial expressions in addition to their facial features make them twiners! The results are as follows...

1)Eli
2)Cohen
3)Cohen
4)Eli
5)Eli
6)Eli
7)Cohen
8)Cohen

I like to joke saying, "I suffered through 9 months of pregnancy--giving them my all--and they come out looking like a trophy to the Marsh!!" I love my Hawkes boys.
