GoOd mAil..

This "Good Mail" post has been inspired by Jamie. I too have been lucky to recieve some great gifts from family, friends, and neighbors. Here are the sweet gifts from some of the wonderful people in my life.

These great items are from Jamie. Check out this AWESOME homemade card and CUTE heart braclet. The card is so great and shows just how creative she is. However, the braclet is my favorite part. I had been admiring her heart braclet for a couple of weeks when she surprised me with this gift. Now we can be twins--twice!!

These sassy flamingo sandals are from my Mother Karen. She is always so generous with her gift giving. She went to some extra effort to call J. Crew and have them search for these flip flops in all of their stores. She paid extra to have them shipped from California to me in Louisville! Thank you, Thank you!

This delicious cake was a gift from my neighbors Don and Paula Clark. Don and Paula just returned from a cruise and brought Marshall and I some Coconut Rum Cake. We devoured our cake the same day they gave it to us. It was gone so quickly that I couldn't get a photo of our actual cake!! We heated it and put some ice cream on top. It was to die for. Thanks guys!

Friday Frenzy

Our Relief Society group had our "Friday Frenzy" this last Friday. Friday Frenzy was this years version of Super Saturday. We had planned to have our craft on Saturday, April 28th, but changed it to Friday last minute.

I am so very happy to report that all went well, and that we had a great turn-out. All of the projects were so fun to make and looked GREAT as everybody took theirs home. Here are some of the projects that I was able to take home.

Hugs & Kisses Birthday Advent

Tile Quote

Valentines Plaque

Cutest Card EVER!!

Birthday Dates Book

Cute Topiary

I am so glad it was a success, and also glad that it is over. I could not have done it without the wonderful help of Jamie Shipp. She was HUGE it helping pull this event together. I also want to thank Charity Watson for all of her help in reservations, set up, and take down. Until next year!!!

A Day of Thunder...

This last Saturday April 21st was "Thunder Over Louisville!." Thunder is the most amazing fireworks display that I have ever seen. Rumor has it, that Louisville spends over 13 million dollars for the entire production.

This year we had the opportunity to watch the fireworks from the Univeristy of Louisville Medical Reaserch Tower. We were invited to the tower by our friends the Fowlers. The Medical Tower provided a clean, indoor, and comfortable place for us to watch the show. Plus, there were bathrooms readily available. The Shipp family was also among our small party on the 11th floor. It was so much fun to visit with the Fowlers and the Shipps.

Cohen had a great time playing with the glow sticks Jamie Shipp brought. He also had fun playing with Mason, and ALMOST gave him a big wet kiss!!!

I am really going to miss both Jamie and Natalie when they make their moves this summer. I have benefited greatly from both lovely ladies!!

Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday, we were invited to a fabulous Easter party at the Shipp's house. The day started with an Easter Egg Hunt, and some great food.

We bundled the kids up, and had them search the yard for Easter Eggs hidden by the Dad's of the group.

Cohen learned how to open the Easter Eggs much faster than we had hoped.

This is Cohen's good buddy, Livia Mortenson gathering eggs.
The kids were so cute and so happy with all the candy!
A big, "Thank you" to Jamie Shipp for letting us use her house and all of the work she did for the hunt and the party!

7 Hours in the Airport with a Toddler!!

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale...

Our flight home from Utah left at 8:20 am. The flight started with Cohen crying, and ended with Cohen crying. He finally fell asleep as we were taxi-ing to our gate. Just my luck. I had to wake him up and exit the plane.

The next three hours are a blurr. I tried to keep Cohen awake so he would sleep on the next flight. We ate, we pooped, and we waited for 3:06pm to come. At 2:00pm our gate attendant announced that the flight was full, and that they were offering a free ticket to anyone who would give up their seat, and wait for the next flight. They announced this THREE times before I accepted the offer.

What the heck was I doing!!! Four more hours in the airport with Cohen! I must have altitude sickness!

You may think I am crazy, but once we decided to stay, things got much better. I reclined his stroller seat and he took a 2 hour snoozer. While he was asleep I got a make over at the airport Clinique counter, and a massage from the Brookstone chair. I ate some delicious fudge and bought Marshall a birthday present. After Cohen woke up we found a children's play ground. He had so much fun driving the pretend baggage trolley. The four hours flew by so fast--and I got a free ticket. :)

Sisterly Love...

This is a project that Halle (my niece) and I started while my sister Kristen was in the hospital delivering the twins. We spent the morning at Robert's Craft buying the paper, the frame, foam beads, brads, and other crafty supplies. During my visit Halle helped me paint and assemble the project. We gave this gift to Kristen the evening before I left.

** Special thanks to Grandma Karen for the use of her Cricut, and other supplies!!**
