The Twins Have Arrived!!

My older sister Kristen Burgi delivered twin BOYS on Thursday at 1:00pm. The first born was named "Carter" and he weighed 6 lbs and 12 oz. The second was named "Kenji" and he weighed 5 lbs and 13 oz. They are doing fabulous and have had no health problems.

Both babies are so dang cute. They have already told me that I am the "favorite aunt." OK, so they cannot talk yet, but if they could they would say that I am their favorite. It has been so much fun to have them here. In the past three days I have been to the hospital 6 times. I cannot get enough.

It is really making me baby hungry to see BRAND NEW babies. It seems like a new baby can make you forget the morning (all day) sickness, the huge and painful boobs, the stretch marks, hemorrhoids, epidurals and brain aneurysm pushing when you see them. There must be something in that "new baby" smell.

Obsess much!

I have been so obsessed with scrap booking lately. It is beyond normal at how excited I get when I find a good deal on paper, stamps, tags or embellishments. I can get so excited that I actually lose sleep thinking about all the wonderful things I can do with my new paper, stamp, tag or embellishment. I don’t blame myself for this new obsession. No, in fact I blame Jamie and Charity. That is right. They have encouraged me in all my efforts and in doing so have awakened the beast inside!
Here are some of the fun scrapbook projects I have completed this week…

This is one of my favorite photos of Cohen as a baby. It is the photo we used for his baby announcements in Dec. 2006.

Jamie and kids came over on Wednesday to assemble and make some fun “Thank U’s.” It was fun to chat, eat, and chase kids in the back yard.

Jamie also gave me a good website www.mymindseye.com that has some great layouts, paper, and tags. This company carries my favorite brand of paper, "Bohemia." I love it! Thanks Jamie!

Attack of the Gold's Gym...

I have been trying to shed a few pounds for about 17 months now (Cohen is 17 months). Just two days ago I decided to check out gym prices at Gold's Gym on Hurstborne. I met with a saleman named Delfin who gave me the usual run-down with a deal, "he could only honor today." His deal was too steep for my lazy butt (and Marshall's budget), so I walked away. Since that time I have received 5 calls from Delfin, Anthony, Rob, James, and Todd. They all work at the Hurstborne Gold's Gym and offer the same "deals." Mind you, 5 calls in 48 hours. I am as much annoyed as worried. Is this a sign!!!! Are the gym gods tryin to tell me something?!! Well, if they are they need to be in-touch with the money gods and send me some LOVE.

Well, Lets Give it a Shot!

My decision to blog comes in two parts. First, peer pressure. I check the blogs of Jamie and Heidi so often, that they both strongly suggested I start my own. We will see if I can pull such a stunt off.
The second, is to keep a record of my days. The interesting ones and the not so interesting ones as well. I am really looking forward to documenting our family's growth and progress--especially Cohen. I try and remember to write in his journal, but I always seem to forget. Hopefully with this blog I can do a better job.
